Summary:
It's the future and we've blown ourselves up. Scattered across the land are small facilities that still hold human life. In one, they find a strange woman out in the wastelands and bring her back, finding not only is she devoid of any immunities or radiation poisoning from being out there unprotected, but she has a rather odd way of looking at people. Like they're ants.
They call her Snow White as a joke and she does not protest, instead telling them about their pasts and informing them of the events to come now that they have stolen her away from her rightful place.

Characters:
Snow - Found in a lush oasis in the middle of the wastelands who seems to know everything.
Maverick - The second in command at the base and in charge of protecting the facility. He fancies himself a military man.
Lintel - The leader of the base, good with his hands and able to make decisions quickly when need be.
Brady - An adorable eight year old that's actually about thirteen. He has Pan's Syndrome, which is different in the future.

Universe:
The world of the future, those who live in the radiation end up not powerful, but slowly dying of cancer and suffering from other mutations. There are drugs which can prevent some of the more severe effects, but ultimately those who are out in the radiation don't live past their thirties.
Within the facilities, life is better but they are ultimately trapped in the base waiting for the world to get well enough to go out once more.

Inspiration:
It started as a scene that has since been cut about the main character spinning fates into existence and determining everyone's destiny. Also, back then the main character was Dawn.
Notes:
Originally written for Nanowrimo 2008 (and won!) and currently under revision. I'm almost ready to show it to people!
Also, dammit, how did she get that name?
