Twilight

April 12th, 2012

It’s a superhero story! Not mentioned in the video is that this is also the universe that most of the Spoileriffic! characters originated from. I am going to have to lay them into the timeline at some point, just so that everything all fits together. Especially given things. I’ve already got a lot of plots laid out, and Bree’s going to be fun to play with the plots with, especially since she’s really not big on the fiction so she’s going to have a lot of, “I should know what’s going to happen here,” moments.

Also, you guys should probably vote in that poll on the sidebar. And check out the post about it. Or the post explaining what the options are from last month. Just saying.

Looking Glass Saga

April 9th, 2012

So, there’s apparently much more to this one than I remembered in terms of links. So starting off, there’s the original Marvelification post, then the one where I originally decided to link her to Snow White, and the one where I’d linked her to Arthur. And then there’s all the excerpts from when I was writing it for Nanowrimo. So yeah, there’s a whole bunch of stuff on here for it. In case you were curious.

Jellyfish, May Poll and New Series

April 5th, 2012

Since I think I can actually do this for another month, you can vote on my method of doom for another month! I think I am going to regret doing this every month. Same options as last month because I am kind of in a specific head space right now and can’t quite come up with any different options for next month.See the last video here for more information.

Jellyfish – Build a PHP based visual novel engine. Trying to finish what is not finished this month.

Twilight – Plot out the first five years of story and possibly write the first six issues.

Atlantis Project – Plot out the entire run and possibly write the first 6 issues.

Plots – Write the plots for: Arcleo, Seniors, Sky of Butterflies, Sword Prince, Scions. Also write Arcleo’s prophesy.

Of Jellyfish and Massage Therapy

March 31st, 2012

A bit of a ramble on both creating Jellyfish next month and on getting massage therapy for the first time. I’ll probably post up full specs and plans for Jellyfish up a little later, specifying exactly how much I plan on getting done. Mostly because I think I explained it really badly. Also, next week we start the poll for what I’m going to do in May.

I don’t know if this is a good idea to do every month.

List o’ Projects

March 28th, 2012

With my back sprained, I didn’t make a video this week (obviously) and really have nothing to update with during the week. And it has been boring, so I started preparing for some of the stuff coming in the future.

I have a lot of projects. At some point, I’m planning on making a video for each and every one of them, filled with spoilers and explanations and excuses. In the mean time, I’m just going to make this list of titles that I have for all of these projects and you can speculate about what they could possibly be.

  1. Wipe
  2. Syndicate
    1. Background Noise
    2. Dawn’s thing
    3. The Game
    4. Clandestine Academy
    5. Background Noise
  3. Dreamscape
  4. Sybil
  5. White Mice
  6. Scions
  7. The Sword Prince
  8. Arcleo
  9. Transmundane
  10. Splintered Sunrise
  11. Looking Glass Saga
  12. Transit
  13. Atlantis Project
  14. Twilight
  15. Genetically Impaired
  16. Seniors
  17. Sky of Butterflies
  18. Heritage
  19. Shift
  20. Final Snow
  21. Raven Project
  22. That which has a book called Reckless Abandon in it
  23. Darkling
  24. Michelle
  25. Creatures in the Halls
  26. Heritage

I’m pretty sure I have forgotten more than a few things. I’ll try to update this as I remember or change the names of the projects as I do.

Muscles Suck This Week

March 24th, 2012

Back from the doctor’s now. I have gotten a nice prescription and a heating pad to help out my neck. Ice my ankle, heat my back and hopefully all my muscles will stop revolting against me very soon. And tomorrow, Ultra review.

About April’s Poll

March 18th, 2012

A bit more elaboration about the poll and what all these things I’ve asked you to vote on are. Of course, I waited until after most of you voted to do this, but in case you were curious, this is what they are. Expect the winner announced next weekend and the planning shall begin!

Problems With Writing

March 10th, 2012

Since no one needed information about the poll, I went ahead and rambled about how I have trouble writing motivation for male characters without killing off their girlfriends and wives and fiancées. It might also be because I am a terrible person that likes to kill people.

I’ll elaborate on the poll options next week.

Projects for April

March 7th, 2012

So, since you all apparently thought this was a good idea, I’ve come up with the list of projects I could dedicate my April towards. We’ll take the Nanowrimo stance on this and close voting on the Saturday the 24th, one week before the end of the month. And so, on to the projects!

If you want to know more about any of these, I’ll make a vlog explaining anything further. Just tell me what you need more information on.

Visual Novel Engine – Build a PHP based visual novel engine. As much as can be done in a month with no images, anyway.

Twilight Plot – Plot out the first five years of story and possibly write the first six issues.

Atlantis Project Plot – Plot out the entire run and possibly write the first 6 issues.

Looking Glass Saga Plot – Plot out the 14 books of the series and write up character sheets for all of the major players and the ones with a key part in any of the secondary story lines.

Plots – Write the plots for: Arcleo, Seniors, Sky of Butterflies, Sword Prince, Sibyl, Heritage, Shift, White Mice

The Worst Idea Ever Today

March 4th, 2012

So, I have just come up with an idea that will turn out to be the worst idea I’ve ever had over the course of the hour and a half since I woke up.

I have been trying to motivate myself to work on projects, to get things done and to generally get focused. This is not working so well because I have too many damn projects and I keep kind of wanting to work on this on or that one and just can’t decide what to do, so I end up making cookies. Admittedly, not a bad alternative, but not really what I want.

The idea is generally simple. I’ll pick a few projects I’ve been juggling between, explain what the task that needs to be accomplished with them is, and put up a poll for the month. At the end of the month, the winner is the thing I work on for the next month.

And, of course, there should be some way to make sure I’m actually doing things, so that will be worked out as well. It’s kind of how I’ve done Nanowrimo, so maybe it will work for everything. Though I don’t think I’ll keep writing a novel every month. That would just be flat out exhausting. At least, I hope people won’t vote for the novel every month. Although, a novel a month for the rest of the year would mean a lot of things in rough draft and workable form…

Anyone think this is a half decent idea?
