This time a little early. But really, am I the only one still sticking to new years goals, or are there a couple other people out there?
Get something published.
I got another rejection letter! A weird one, though. Armchair Aesthete (a publisher without a website) sent back my cover letter with a hand written rejection and an invitation to send something else along with a borcher. And this month, I’m sending off 8 manuscripts because next month is Script Frenzy.
Win Script Frenzy.
I am plotting. So much plotting. I’m thinking I’m going to restart it from the beginning again and not go by comic script this time around, though. I’ve come to a realization with the whole comic scripting thing. I can’t think in panels until after the scene is written out in another form first. So it’s going to be a movie script for now, then converted to a comic script later. If at all. We’ll see.
I should talk to Vicki again. She said soemthing about being interested in an animation project.
Win Nanowrimo.
November’s a damn long time away. But I’m considering a few different stories for it already.
Write 10 short stories.
String Theory is done! Ghost Hunters isn’t so much, but I’m hoping to finally finish it by the end of the week. It’s so troublesome when you start completely reformulating the story just as you start into the tension, isn’t it? Damn you brain.
Complete editing a novel.
Still really lazy. Hoping that, now that I’m home a little more, I can start it in May.
Revise Scions.
I haven’t done a heck of a lot besides character with it. Not reinventing or anything like that. Just trying to remember how these people fit together. It’s been a damn long time.
Update Genetically Impaired weekly for 6 months.
I started it! There’s a few things I still want to do with the site. Edit the pages and whatnot and generally make things display better, but it’s only got one post up. Short posts that will become a story. We’ll see what happens. I’ll start advertising it when I hit the 6 months point when there’s some actual story happening. Let’s hope I make it that far.
